It has truly become a Winter Wonderland around here in the last two weeks but we'll probably have to say goodbye to it later this week when it's about to sleet and rain like nobody's business.

So I'm trying to take advantage of my off-days and the light that has started to appear during the day and the lovely scenery of white and take at least some photos outside instead of the hallway even though I somehow dig them myself. Maybe it's the red walls(?).

Jumpers, jumpers, JUMPERS! I'm an absolute jumper person, I just get drawn to them. I love how they feel, how they look and the fact that the weather in Finland almost demands a jumper most of the year it's nice to have loads of them. It's funny how I love them and think they look good on me but my boyfriend thinks they're the most unflattering thing a person can wear after overalls but still puts up with my jumper-addiction and how they take most room in our bedroom out of all other clothes other than dresses which he absolutely approves and doesn't complain about none what so ever. Not a surprise hahah.

Dusty Pink Faux Fur and Brown Riding Boots

Today's style was calling for comfort and warmth. That's what I piled on me before we went to the mall to make some purchases for our brand new dishwasher and food for the weekend. Still need some hooks for the hangers of my plants to give them a better shot at getting some light treatment at this dark time of the year. I'm already dreading the upcoming week when it's said to go under -10 celsius. Yikes. I've gotten too used to the light degrees from -3 to 5.

But to the outfit. I also had a scarf wrapped around my neck and it made my boyfriend say I look like a damn toddler in this outfit. He said it was because of the scarf but I think it's because when the roads are all frozen and slippery I tend to waddle like a tiny penguin. Well nevertheless I'm loving this look and this faux fur is so perfectly extra I just adore it to the bits. Looks so me.

Fluffy Jumper and Vinyl Skirt

Loving this outfit so much! Immediately when I pieced these items together in my head yesterday I just couldn't wait to get them on me today. The contrast between the materials is noticeable but not conflicting and the outfit is extremely comfortable, I just want to live in this jumper this winter. And the vinyl skirt fits like a glove but I don't have to squeeze myself into it and it doesn't press anywhere. Heaven. 

The final touches of the suede boots and the pearl headband plus the black and white geometric bag and glitter tights just compliment everything so well that I feel very pleased with myself. This has got to be my fave outfit of this winter so far(!?) and it doesn't have colours in it? What's going on? Oh well some ensembles just hit it home so hard. 

+ I dyed my hair a week ago back to the pink ends I had last year. Feeling so in love with the change and going back to something that works fairly well with me and my style.

5 bad habits I am trying to get better at this year

We all have habits we're not proud of but very often just brush aside. I'm going to list here some of mine which I desire to change for good this year.

1. I pick on my skin - If I have pimples or scabs or anything on my skin I tend to pick on it either consciously or unconsciously. Trying to change the conscious part so maybe the the unconscious one will also decrease

2. Overt shopping - I love clothes, and fashion, and pretty things. This means I also buy them as if I absolutely need them. Lately I have been trying to find some pretty much perfect items to replace okay ones and I am going to sell or donate to charities the ones which I am not completely sold on.

3. Throwing out veggies that have gone bad in the fridge instead of using them in time - I like veggies a lot but I really hate chopping and peeling them (why I use frosted veggies pre-chopped etc.) So very often I end up with not so fresh items in the fridge. Going to get more motivated on using the items before going bad.

4. I leave teeny tiny trashes around the apartment - On the tables and counter tops there are very often found receipts, clothes tags, candy papers anything small and papery. It drives my boyfriend crazy so I'm trying to get better at throwing them immediately to the trash.

5. Leaving the lights on when I leave the house - This is mainly because I feel bad leaving our cat alone in the dark. But it loses electricity and cats can see in the dark...

This is the coat of my dreams and I almost didn't get it as when it came on sale and I noticed it and was going to put it in my basket it was sold out! Then a few weeks later I was scrolling through Mango's website I saw it, staring at me and I immediately put the coat in my basket and ordered it. Now I'm a happy Very happy owner this coat and couldn't be happier with it, have been wearing it everyday since getting it. It's actually warm and doesn't just look like it and is so soft and luscious I can barely stand it. My dream item is now mine.

Red Floral Dress and A Camel Coat

I have been looking for a perfect red floral dress for me but none before this one have satisfied me properly so I haven't purchased them. It has the perfect shade of red and the right style of printed flowers to fit my kind of person. The camel coat is a Second-hand buy from yesterday it was cheap and a bit broken. But it's also 60% wool and the coat itself is in dapper condition only the lining was broken and I fixed it in no time. Again the perfect shade to fit my colours and the length is superb on me as I am rather short they tend to be way too long.

I like mixing second-hand and new bought items together as you have probably seen and noticed. This has got to be one of my favourites.

Last Day of the Year! - What was it like for me?

Vuosi 2017 oli minulle sangen hyvä vuosi, vaikkakin minulla oli töyssyjäni ja auto meinasi hajota tien varteen, mutta loppua kohden se parani ja parani entisestään ja voin sanoa olevani erittäin hyvässä tilassa tällä hetkellä.

Opin vuoden aikana paljon itsestäni ihmisenä ja yksilönä, löysin omaa tyyliäni taas enemmän tänä vuonna ja palasin tyylini kulmakiviin joita rakastin vuosia sitten ja huomasin rakastavani vieläkin. Aloin kokea olevani Minä jälleen, vaikka tietä on vielä kuljettavana olen ylpeä saavutuksistani  ja päätöksistäni joita tein ja mihin ne minut ovat johtaneet.

Toivon, että tulevana vuotena pääsen liikkumaan lisää eteenpäin ja keräämään voimia uusiin koitoksiin. Ja haaveilen, että pääsisin jo tänä vuonna tilaan, jossa voisin sanoa rakastavani itseäni enkä pelkästään hyväksymään tilaanteeni tällä hetkellä. En aseta sitä tavoitteeksi, mutta se olisi mukava tapahtuma, se tekisi minusta vielä onnellisemman kuin mitä jo olen ja tämäkin hetki ja olotila on jo ihan käsittämätön itselleni!

The year 2017 has been all in all a pretty great year, even if it had it's downs with me but towards the end it has just gotten better and better, and now I'm in a rather nicely shaped space. 

I learned a lot about myself and grew as a person and individual, found my style more and more and went back to some things that I was fond of wayyy back and noticed I still like them. I started to feel like Me again, there's still road to go but I'm so proud of what I have accomplished and what decisions I made this year and were they have led me. 

I wish I will be able to move forward and gain more strength in this new year to come. And will get to a point were I can say I am able to love myself rather than just accepting the situation. I will not make it a goal but it would be a nice thing to happen. It would make me even happier than I feel right now.

Fake Shearling Jacket and Floral Embroidered Jeans

Here's today's outfit! Found this fake shearling jacket yesterday at UFF for half-price and the turtleneck knit just called my name when I saw it (the colour is so Me). The jeans are from Bikbok and were already introduced on my INSTAGRAM few days ago and have been wearing them since! They were 70% off and are so comfy and stretchy but look fine as hell and are perfect for the embroidery trend going on. The boots are old as time but still working even though they're fake leather, but they are still doing their job.
